I've been trying to understand what the rate path means for our family for weeks, and Alex Morgan's piece was the first thing that actually made it click. The chart comparing fixed and variable payments was especially useful.

One request: a short box on what a quarter-point move means in dollars for a typical mortgage would help a lot of readers like me. I left a comment saying the same thing.

I run the cooling team at a regional data center operator. Your piece on the race to cool data centers was excellent, but it missed the people who keep these systems alive at 3 a.m.

Hi,

In “A new telescope sees further back than ever”, the caption under the second image says the galaxy is 13.4 billion light years away, but the body text says 13.2 billion. The research paper linked at the bottom gives 13.2, so I think the caption is wrong.

As promised in the comments, here's a year of numbers from our courier co-op: deliveries per week, costs per rider and what our customers paid before and after we switched from vans.

The short version: eleven riders, two cargo bikes, 1,900 deliveries in September, and we broke even in month five. Happy to host a reporter and a photographer for a morning shift.

I work in the port authority's procurement office. The attached contract for the north channel dredging was awarded without the second bid round the rules require, and the price went up 40% after signing.
